H&M – The Garden Collection

Anyone who knows me well recognizes my dislike for anything nature-like. Give me a plant and I’ll toss it; invite me to go hiking and I’ll run the other way. I’m more of an urban girl…but show me a garden with an H&M stamp on it and I’m all eyes and ears!

Due to come out this Spring (towards the end of March I hear), H&M has created a sustainable and organic collection made with recycled materials such as PET-bottles and textile waste that is full of ’70s inspired coolness, ruffles and flowers. Dubbed the “Garden Collection”, the pieces are bright, feminine, romantic, playful yet sophisticated…perfect for Spring! The best part – the prices match our current economically down days…with the highest price at $60!

The plan was to wake up at 5 a.m. this morning in hopes of scoring some of that rockin’ Jimmy Choo for H&M stock. Of course, I slept through my alarm over and over again. Got there and this is what I was in for…

And that was only the outside portion of the queue! Seriously????

There were people camped out inside the store. Seriously.

By the time I made it into the store, I didn’t even get a glimpse of the collection that has so many have been raving about. The look is said to be “party clothes with a rock ‘n’ roll edge”. I wish I could be sporting the look right now.

Hope some of you were a bit luckier…

Not since Jackie O has America had such a hype for a potential First Lady. Throughout Obama’s campaign, Michelle Obama graced the public with her posh sense of style, waving goodbye to the traditional pant-suits and sweater sets. Thank goodness!!! From her hairstyle to her shoes, women are quickly trying to sport Mrs. O’s look.
